As much as i'm a photography book junky I think it can be useful to read non-photography books about design.  When you're composing a photo in your head that's as much about design as creating a book cover, making a painting or any other creative act.  So with that in mind i've been enjoying "Penguin by Design".  You can click on the book cover to order it from Amazon.
